Level: 14 (as of May 4th)
Build Focus: Primary healer with Mesmer Domination Magic secondary focus
PvP / PvE: ATM focused on PvE. Eventually will be balanced.
Guild: Currently in Soulless Warriors (http://soullesswarriors.com/), but I'm open to invitations from mature, organized guilds in need of a healing monk's services.
Best way to contact me is probably whisper in-game, or you can leave me a PM here. I'm taking my time moving through the map and am currently on the far LA side of the Shiverpeaks. I'd be happy to group with any party needing a healing boost, so feel free to give me a shout if you're in need.

Im working on two monks atm; 1st, monk/mesmer (named Arrick Jr, level 12), and 2nd, monk/elementalist (named Arrick Sr, level 7). Im on daily, usually in the evenings on west coast time. I would like to get both to 20 and then venture into the pvp arena, but also play pve equally. I prefer seasoned players rather than newbs, who can't control their adrenaline and mouse features:-)). To each his own though! I hate when someone dies under my healing care, so for those who dont use tactics, dont bother to send me a message;P
Bye for now and gl to everyone.
I'm now level 18.5 or so and working on the Ascension quests, and I have most towns and outposts, upto Augary Rock and Destiny's Forge. Trying to get past the River now!

When I am healing I see it as my primary responsibility and I make sure the group is healed. I have tactics and know how to do my job. No, I'm probably not the best monk, but I know what I'm doing.

What attribute distribution do you guys have?
Level 12:
7 Healing Prayers (Says Modified to 8 guy that's Divine Favor)
6 Inspiation Magic
5 Domination Magic
1 Divine Favor
I always love it when some idiot warrior heads into a bed of enemies and dies. The first thing he says, "THAT MONK DOESN'T HEAL."
A group really needs 2 monks. The best group I've been in were 2 main monk and one secondary. When you're the primary monk people with secondary Monk skill think they don't have any healing resposibility whatsoever. That isn't true. With 6 to 8 people in a group one monk isn't enough.

IMO man thats what warriors are supposed to do and we (monks) are supposed to keep them up.... as to your skills, I'd drop the dom magic and throw that into favor and lower insp and bump up healing if you can. You're not there to be a damage dealer you're there to keep them alive and 4 stat builds are very hard to make effective.
Elurian Cysteness
L 18 Mo/Me: [EDIT: forgot I leveled last night :x]
10 Healing (+ 1 from Servant's Scalp Design for 11 total)
9 Divine Favor
6 Inspiration
in reply to the thread I consider my job failed if anyone dies in my party once. Yes I carry a rez but I hate it if even one member drops. I'm usually on from 7or8pm EST till 11pmEST on week days. Just switched guilds from Crimson Knights [CK] to Unnamed Feeling [UnF]

thx, I'll change. That makes a lot more since. I kept wondering y my healing wasn't as effective as it should have been.
How's this:
8 Healing (7 plus 1 from scalp)
7 Divine Favor
3 Inspiration
3 remainder

• Nickname: Same as forum login.
• Character name: Brother Jarodan
• PvE, PvP, or balanced?: Going for full healing specilization but I think I have some PvP skill.
• Would you serve as the main healer or are you more geared towards support healing and some extra function (please specify your other function)? Main healer is what he was made for.
• If you don't have a guild, are you looking for a guild or just a party every once and a while? Once I am out of the tutorial areas I'd be interested in hooking up with a good bunch of people. Prefer an older crowd that has alot of gaming experience.
• If you have a guild (and hopefully you want to play with people outside of your guild), what is it's name/can we have a link? No guild at the moment (dodging guild invites as I go).
Optional information, such as:
- Your secondary profession: Elementalist mainly for the defensive and escape abilities (run speed etc)
- The focus(es) of your healing build(s), if it's anything but healing: Currently sitting at (if I can remember this correctly) 5 Healing, 3 Divine Prayers, 1 Protection. Plan on going 11:10:10 respectively.

I'm definately a healing Monk.
On level 13, I'm pretty evenly split between Devine Focus and Healing Prayers. Not too much into protection and 0 in smite.
Secondary class is Me. I think I have 4 points in Domination magic just for backfire in a PvP situation.
I'm unguilded, and mostly solo, as for looking for a guild? I'm always looking, the choices out there are terrible, however. I hate grouping with people half my IQ/Age/Gaming maturity.

Almost always PVE simply because still learning the ropes
I can be the main healer, but I prefer to be used in conjuction with another healer, simply to be more effective.
Not in a guild, and not really looking right now. I solo but also am willing to group for missions and such.
Secondary Profession is Elementalist (no points in it though)
Focus of my healing is healing at 10 atm, and protection, at 6. I tend to try to boost the hp of allies, and use Heal Party liberally. Simply because I have yet to find/discover a more effective skill to use at my current level.

this is my main RP char- Monk-elem using firestorm and immolate as assist spells when there's no need for me to concentrate on healing. current stats are lvl 13, 6 in fire, 7 in healing, 6 in divine favor
the healing skills change as I get better ones my favorite has to be heal party because you don't heal the enemy and ressurect spell.

Note: I'm still in pre-searing, taking my time (having a lot of trouble getting the tapestry shred from Gwen). I'm also not on very often.
PvP, PvE, or balanced:
Definately PvE.
Healing or Support:
Healing, though I can deal some decent damage, especially if my party has another healer but not enough damage-dealers so I can equip more damaging skills ahead of time.
Guild:
Yes, but I don't know the name. I share my account with my brother who plays more than me and joined this guild before I even started playing.

Jung Freud is the name, all heals. Currently level 17, should be 20 by the end of the weekend. Support types are rare in this game, everyone wants to be a paladin it seems. Give me 4 heal monks and 4 good mesmers and we can hold the hall of heroes for a week. Warrior secondary, from the weekend events it seems that the tactics line offers some of the best defensive skills with minimum point investment. I have played alot of tombs with my current build and I think its pretty uber, catch me in game anytime.

I have healing and divine favor capped (+2 on healing, +1 on favor atm) with the last 6 or 10 or whatever points in protection or wilderness survival. Very *occasionally* I'll uncap a stat or both to pump another category. This may seem foolish to many people, but many monks out there are conceptual art builds. Their protection isn't strong enough to hold off the mobs in level 20 areas and their healing isn't enough to save everyone. I pretty much go pure healing under the assumption I'll have another monk there, and that monk will not heal nearly as much as I do.
I literally ignore people with monk subs. I don't rely on them having anything useful stocked nor them being there if things go sour. I've seen some impressive monk subs, but let's face it...if you're in the Underworld an E/Mo build won't save a caster from dying with his heals. I see a lot of W/Mo builds out there, and I can't depend on them; to be an effective warrior you can't specialize in healing, and at the 20+ level you really need that extra something from divine favor. I get easily frustrated when someone wearing censor's eq and holding a -regen focus declares him or herself the main healer, especially when that monk starts throwing out smiting prayers.
I've found most healers in GW don't take their responsibility to the group seriously. I've met several great healers getting through the missions, don't get me wrong. But 80% of the players I've met in GW are immature 12-year-olds who lol at everything and abbreviate u, r, and rd. They quote marine movies while barking orders (contrary to mine most times, even if I know what I'm doing and am literally there helping a friend through a mission).
I know that's a little off-topic, but it's annoying when you get some "1337 h34l0r" who "r0xx0rz j00" with his "h34l skillz" and blames the other monk (me) when the group splits because of his unskilled brother and people die while I'm chasing the group to keep them alive while he dances in combat and "lol"s at everything. Do people really laugh that much irl? If so, I guess I need to move.
Note to devs: please disable emotes that aren't "sit" and "ready" in missions. : P

• Right now, PvE.
• Main Healer.
• Either.
• I am presently guildless.

Mesmer. When grouped for PvE, not a whole hell of a lot. I'm too busy healing.

What do you mean by nickname?
• Characters: Vitae Infinitum (others are Inquisitor General and Witchfinder General)
• PvE as a means to get to the PvP goodness (so heavy PvP when I hit a decent level)
• Main healer with ranger secondary (ranger is there so i can unlock all skills for my pvp slot. If I use it for anything it would be for nature spirits and defensive traps laid before the fighting begins.
• I am looking for a decently sized guild with a guild hall and actively participating in GvG on a nightly basis.
I am a father of two and married with a full-time job. I am not looking for a guild with required call-times, attendance requirements etc... I am here to have fun.
